These professional-quality fans open out to 50 inches x 30 inches and the junior fans open to 30 inches x 20 inches and we use prime quality ostrich wing feathers (except economy fans) for a truly stunning look - available in one, two, or three colours.

Reinforced clear acrylic staves ensure that this robust fan will give long and valuable service; available in all our standard dye colours as well as bleached white.

For the large fans we use 20 inch and longer male wing feathers, for the Sally Rand Junior fan we use 17 - 20 inch wing feathers and for the Sally Rand Junior economy fan we use 17 - 20 inch fluffy ostrich drab feathers.

Self Assembly Sally Rand Ostrich Fan Kit

Build yourself a theatrical - burlesque ostrich fan made famous by the dancer Sally Rand.

The kit includes feathers, staves, stainless steel fittings for stave assembly, stainless steel wire for attaching the feathers to the stave and stringers (to stop the fan opening too far)

You will need a pair of pliers and a flat-head screwdriver to finish the assembly - these are not included.

Approximate assembly time, each fan: single-layer fan, 60-90 minutes; double-layer fan, 90-120 minutes; triple-layer fan, 120-180 minutes.
